Back in 1985 with the Human League playing in my Sony Walkman, myself and my best friend from school were driven from the Midlands to Norfolk in great ceremony "To see Mum and Dad's new boat they are having built!" I remember wandering around a huge Boatshed at Brooms boatyard in Brundall, gaping at these big powerboats being built all around us.
The discussions on this particular visit concerned the details of layout of the aft cabin; "How would you like things down here then?" said the boatbuilder man at Brooms as he sketched the huge double berth layout and generous wardrobe spaces quickly and skilfully on an old B&H packet.
This degree of "customisation" is simply not available on boats of this size anymore, nor the build quality, I hasten to add.
In the same ownership since I first saw her in that huge Boatshed in Norfolk, this Broom 12 Metre has been loved by all including me ever since.
I made my first Channel crossing aboard her in 1988, first invaded the Channel Island in 1989, and had lots and lots of fond memories ever since.
Always professionally serviced plus maintained and cared for by a "proper" fastidious owner.
She is only now for sale as the owners feel their teeth are now long enough to force the purchase of something a little smaller.
Broom build quality maintained in true style and original condition.
These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
