Broker's Comments

Dick Lebefer was a well respected designer of heavy displacement solid sailing boats and he is responsible for many of the Rogger designs in the mid to late 70s. The Atlas 48 is the largest and although moulded in the Netherlands they were fitted out in the UK

As a liveaboard or long distance cruising boat she would be hard to beat for the sheer amount of usable space you have aboard. She is extremely comfortable and well equipped down below, with heating, hot water, great galley and saloon area and lovely and spacious fore and aft cabins with heads and full sized showers either end Above decks she has lots of clear open space for dining, sunbathing or just sitting taking it all in

When you want to make passage she has plently of sail area and with lazy jacks and furlers she looks like she wouldn't be too heavy to handle for her size. And when the wind drops the 6 cylinder Lister engine will get you home. She won't win any races but you'll still be out there when most others have run for shelter. And warm and comfortable to boot
