Broker's Comments

This Halcyon 27 is in commission and although the interior could do with some attention it is a sound boat. The hull tops sides are original gelcoat which is often not the case on boats of this age; the decks and coachroof have been painted. The engine we are told is reliable and works well with the variable pitch propeller.
The modifications that the owner has made to the interior means at present there are only 3 berths although it would be relatively straight forward to turn it back to the original layout. The forecabin has the traditional Vee berth and an infill could be added to make it a double.
The boat is equipped for short/single handed sailing; all halyards are led back to the cockpit. There are no heads but the original space is still there, although currently used for storage.
So in summary we think it’s a sound boat that could be used as it is but would benefit from some attention particularly to the interior.
