Hi everyone! I decided to buy a boat about half year ago. I had lot’s of difficulties to find the right boat what is suit for me, find survey, insurance company etc. but i always got stuck in some points. I cannot recommend Sam, from Boatshed in Gosport (Portsmouth) enough as a sales broker. She was suggested to me by someone who has helped me out with running repairs on my catamaran for years. He told me she was “straight talking”, and a “no nonsense” person whom you could trust. He was absolutely right. Her presale advice was invaluable; she immediately identified what needed to be repaired/renewed before the boat was made available for viewing, and her insight into what buyers look at was invaluable. She saved me spending on useless items, whilst minor details I considered irrelevant were flagged up as worthy of attention. My catamaran is clearly intended for the Carribean or Mediterranean market, not an easy sale in Gosport. Nevertheless, I had two serious offers within 4 weeks of putting her on the market, and one of these lead to a successful sale a couple of weeks later. A significant achievement. If you are thinking of selling your boat in or near Gosport, talk to Sam from Boatshed first. You will not regret it.
