Broker's Comments

Here we have a nice example of this classic cruiser. This bullet proof Bill Dixon design is a very happy compromise between comfort, sea-keeping and performance and was one of Moody's most popular models. They are excellent sea-boats and the cockpit, whilst deep, is also well raised to give a pretty dry ride. The interior cleverly gives the impression of a larger boat and the owners aft cabin is positively luxurious for a boat of this era. Throughout the boat, there is quality woodwork and storage everywhere, she would be equally happy hacking round the coast with the family or as a budget blue water cruiser. This particular incarnation has been cherished by a Moody Owners Association member who prides himself in the sensible maintenance of the boat with everything needing attention, getting it. The engine is the venerable Thorneycroft diesel, professionally maintained annually and with a recent new heat exchanger. Sadly a change in personal circumstances means the owner now has to pass her on to a new custodian and much useful equipment is included in the sale, making it a pretty nifty package for the money.
