Comentario del broker
Here we have a well found and interesting yacht from the late '70's, a beamy, bilge keeled, 28 footer with sailing performance that wouldn't disgrace a club racer. Sadly for sale due to family ill health, her present owner launched and berthed her at the beginning of April but never had the chance to use her before placing her back on the market. She's a fast cruising yacht constructed by British Aluminium Co when electricity was cheap and they thought they'd try their hand at yacht building, to a design by the renowned Robert Tucker design team. With excellent interior joinery she has a warm and spacious feel below decks with some clever and unusual features - a fully gimballed galley for example. The dinette converts to a massive double in the saloon and a spacious fore cabin provides a second double berth. Her heads compartment is also large and well appointed. The one place that she shows her age is in the worn Treadmaster on deck, but a keen new owner will soon sort that I'm sure. If you're looking for a smart ready to sail cruising yacht that will take the ground, while being impervious to rust and osmosis, and one which provides something just a little bit differant to 'run of the mill' 28 footers then take a look at this Sarum 28.
UPDATE: I took her (the Yacht) out for a sail today with her owner and I can vouch for her sailing qualities and her reliable motor which easily attained a comfortable 5.6kts. on the log. All cockpit instruments functioning with the exception of wind speed - direction ok. All in all, a great afternoon on the Haven.
