Broker's Comments
Boatshed are proud to be able to offer this very rare and very flexible and spacious river cuiser.
She is a special varient of the popular Bounty 37 hull Known as the Ferry Cavalier.
There were only 5 or 6 of these special boats ever built and they certainly stand out.
The boat is essentially the well known and respected Bounty 37 broads cruiser with the full sliding roof to open up the saloon to the sunshine and create that alfresco living space. Where she differs is the very large totally open aft area with canvas sides and full solid roof. I have been told that she was once owned by imperial tobacco and would ply the broads giving out cigarettes from the aft open deck, so she has some interesting history and character.
Her current owners bought her in 2018 from a gentleman who used her mainly for broads river fishing 3-4 times a year and he owned her for some 15 years until ill health forced him to sell her to the current owners.
She has been a live-a-board since 2018.
She would make an ideal and flexible live-a-board boat.
She boasts all the comforts of the traditional bounty single level forward drive river cruisers with a large saloon spacious heads with pump out toilet and great sized shower. She is currenly configured as a single double berth layout with a good size galley to port.
The boat appears to be in good condition for her age and has just had a new alternator fitted.
She would benefit from some cosmetic improvments here and there as most boats do at this age. She did recently touch Wroxham bridge when cruising at night and so needs a small fibreglass repair to the forepeak corner however this is an easy fix.
The vendor has advised that the oven does not work so this will need to be replaced which is also a simple job. She would be a stand-out broadscruiser to mix cruising and fishing in one all weather package or even a perfect boat for arists with the huge open but covered aft deck area. This would also be a great summer entertaining area for outside dining and relaxing, making this boat very flexible with her unique layout.
