From the shore, we enter the boat via a gangplank. The foredeck offers a vast terrace partially covered by a sun awning (new in 2007) great for enjoying barbecues and sunbathing. It can be accessed from the front of the wheelhouse via two steps located on the starboard and port sides, or from the bow via a three-step stairway. At the bow, a hatch provides access to a practical storage area.
The current owner has also installed a tiller and an external clutch, allowing for steering from outside on the roof of the aft cabin.
You can enter the boat via the wheelhouse or through the bathroom located at the bow. The headroom of the wheelhouse is 1.85 meters and it offers a 360° view and seating for two people accompanying the captain during navigation. To port in the wheelhouse, there is also access to the engine room via a ladder.
Heading aft in the wheelhouse, five steps lead to the aft cabin, where the headroom is 1.95 meters. This cabin is equipped with a 130x220 cm bed, a wardrobe, and a small desk area.
Passing back through the wheelhouse and heading towards the bow, six steps lead to the boat's large salon/kitchen area (ceiling height of 2.06 meters).
In the salon area, there is seating for six people and a TV nook.
Connected to the salon is an open kitchen with a bar that seats three people. This kitchen is equipped with two induction burners, two 220V fridges/freezers (new in 2016), a Bosch dishwasher, and a Whirlpool oven/microwave.
For heating, a 220-liter domestic fuel tank (red) feeds the boat’s Kabola oil stove (serviced in 2013) which provides central heating for the barge. This oil stove directly heats the salon, as well as the aft cabin and the front bathroom via two radiators.
This large living area is also equipped with a reversible air conditioning unit (new in 07/2024).
Moving further towards the bow, on the port side there is a second cabin with a 190x140 cm bed. Here 2.01m of headroom.
Finally, the last room towards the bow is the large bathroom/WC. Here, the headroom is 1.98 meters. The spacious shower offers plenty of elbow room. Hot water is provided by a 75-liter water heater (new in January 2018).
Additionally, the boat is equipped with a booster pump, which prevents the water pump from being triggered with every use. The shower pump, a 220-volt SFA model, is new in 2024. Two VMC purify the air under the boat's floor.
On the port side, an electric toilet with a semi-macerator from SFA, further towards the bow a 5 kg FAF washing machine. A large wardrobe is located on the starboard side. Finally, with a removable staircase, you can easily access the boat's foredeck.

Broker's Comments
Dutch Luxe-Motor Barge 22m for Sale. Boatshed Midi Canals is pleased to present you this 22-meter-long Dutch Luxemotor barge, suitable for year-round living in the Midi region.
The boat's community certificate/ESTRIN is valid until 04/2034, giving you 10 years of validity. Additionally, the hull maintenance and the latest hull inspection (available upon request) were done in 04/2024, a significant advantage!
Ideal for year-round living, which our owners have been doing since they acquired it in 1997. I found this barge well-equipped and thoughtfully designed: reversible air conditioning, central heating, kitchen equipped with two fridge-freezers, oven, compact dishwasher, washing machine, spacious shower, and ample storage - this barge offers all the comforts of a floating home.
A floating home that is truly navigable! You can steer the barge from the outside behind the wheelhouse via a tiller, ensuring precise navigation and optimal visibility. In bad weather, you can also steer from the wheelhouse with its steering wheel, which offers a 360° view thanks to its numerous windows. Moreover, the 4.5 KVA generator allows you to stop outside ports while still enjoying electricity onboard.
Therefore, this barge seems ready to comfortably take you along the canals and rivers of France and Europe or serve as your primary residence wherever you choose.
The current mooring could be transferable subject to VNF (Voies Navigables de France) approval (COT at 2025€ per year).
Our owners inform us that they use the oil stove only about 10 days a year; the rest of the year, they use reversible air conditioning. They also tell us that the annual electricity cost is about 900€ per year and the water bill is about 120€ per year.
