Broker's Comments
This Classic Fletcher Arrowbolt has undergone a painstaking bow to stern restoration which took a total of six years to complete by an obsessive, professional detailer.
This is a rare opportunity to own a classic 70's sports boat in Concours d'Elegance condition!
The boat comes with a brand new custom built trailer.
Below is a list of some of the restorations that have been undertaken to restore the boat, ready for the coming season.
The engine stripped completely, cylinders re-bored and new pistons fitted. The engine block chemically cleaned, and after assembly, painted in two-part paint for ultimate corrosion resistance. New engine parts include camshaft & followers, main and big-end bearings, camshaft bearings, all 16 valves/guides/springs, timing chain and sprockets and oil pump. All other engine components inspected and replaced if not within tolerance.
The same work was carried out on the stern drive, completely dismantled to bare components, bead blasted back to bare metal, etch-primed and painted in two-part paint. All bearings and seals replaced with new, gear mesh etc. set up to spec.
New exhaust headers fitted.
The boat was completely re-wired using marine grade tinned copper core cables and a twin battery system installed, with an automatic charging system. New Garmin DV55 plotter/depth sounder installed. All lights are energy saving LED bulbs.
The helm system replaced with a new Morse type as the original Ride Guide was worn and no longer available.
Finally, the upholstery was re-covered including new foam cushions and the cabin interior completely re-finished. All of the nuts and bolts were upgraded and replaced with marine grade A 4 316 Stainless steel.
All the exterior finish is in gel coat as per the original colour scheme.
The engine now has 20 hours running time and is running perfectly.
