Broker's Comments
Here we have a Mk 2 Fairline Fury 2 which was a great step forward at the time from the Fury 1.
These are spacious boats with a lot to offer and good styling that belies her years. They have two cabins offering 4 berths and a small galley and heads compartment with "clip on to tap" shower system hose.
She has hot water, shore power, battery charger and is overall clean, dry and nicely presented. Her vendor last used her in April and advises the engines are serviced as are the legs and that she runs very well and works as she should.
She is a 43 year old boat so she is not perfect as you would expect but the items I noticed that could do with addressing, are all light cosmetic. Her helm seats, whilst usable, are need of re-covering or replacing which is not overly expensive and readily available from about £80 each. Also the wardrobe linings would benefit from the fabric being replaced. There is also a small tear in a saloon seat backrest.
The original hessian brown walls have at some stage in her life been painted but this actually lifts what would have been a dark and gloomy interior. None of this detracts from what is fundamentally a clean, dry and very tidy and spacious cruiser and would make an ideal and cost effective first, fast boat or river cruiser for a small family.
Her two tone blue exterior is all gelcoat and this is in very good condition for a boat of this age. Yes there are a couple of hull scratches but please remember she is 43 years old and these are very light for such years of use. The canopy looks serviceable.
She has a good size cockpit and a solid bathing platform and boarding ladder.
Her Boat Safety Certificate runs to 2024
Date to be confirmed.
