With a new season just around the corner and new people on-board, new ideas and new enthusiasm this very worth while sailing charity is getting ready to hoist sails, weigh anchor and start new adventures.
The Morvargh Sailing Project provides sail training and life changing experiences to 15 - 25 year olds in the South West of England.
Mórvargh Sailing Project provides voyages on a Bowman 57' ketch rigged yacht for young people aged 15-25 who live in the South West of England. Our voyages are based around our unique Adventure, Leadership and Youth Development programme called Focus Point.
The Focus Point programme is formed around the principles of Experiential Learning, Challenge through Choice and Internally focused debriefing. Our Afterguard use tools such as transitional instruction and allowing participants to become leaders which brings together everything that the trainees have learned on the voyage and linking it to life at home.
Trainees will leave our voyages with the skills to grow to full maturity both physically and mentally as individuals and be able to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals.
Stephen from Boatshed Plymouth is very pleased to be able to support this fantastic charity and encourages others to get involved. Support can be in time, expertise, donations, crewing and many other ways.
