Broker's Comments
In 1990 Viscount Boyd of Saltash commissioned Alan L Roy, Naval Architect to design a one-off motor pinnace for his personal use.
John Thomas from Morvoren Seacraft in Penryn was given the task of constructing this special vessel. Along with four other marine businesses they built this unique vessel which was launched in 1991. She was then used in and around the Plymouth Sound and along the Tamar River.
Some years later she became rather unloved and had her original design modified so that she was fully enclosed with a continuous coach-roof design, providing comfortable and elegant accommodation with a forward wheelhouse, large galley and saloon, separate heads and shower compartments and a generous aft deck as well.
The current owners purchased her and have started the labour of love to restore her to her former glory. Much of the work has already been done to a very high standard. This unique vessel is now for sale as the owners need to move on and so this presents a wonderful and unique opportunity to take over the restoration and ownership of this historical vessel.
