Sunday 28th Feb - at last some good sailing conditions for the 49 entries to the Spring Chicken Series on Dublin Bay. Easterly breeze 7-12 knots and a '4-sided triangle' / sausage course set by race officer Fintan Cairns had the fleet bucking the tide to the first weather mark - set 1.2nm from the start line.

Hanse Off was first away in Start 1 and continued to lead the entire fleet after Round 1 - perhaps doing enough to take the win on FECHO corrected.
The 2nd beat saw the light weather specialist 1720s come to the fore and after a good tussle Team INSS was the first boat home with Kenneth Rumball at the helm.

Expect Results mid-week and extra handicap punishments will be given for those boats who 'forgot' to wave to the Committee Boat when crossing the finish line.

And don't forget to check out Boatshed Ireland Facebook for lots more photos.

In next week's report we will have video of each start ... now that could be interesting if there are any close calls for ocs.

See you on the water next Sunday.
