Broker's Comments

This wide beamed steel barge, built by Liverpool Boats, is presently located on a beautiful rural estuary in Cornwall, just a stones throw away from the thriving Ocean City of Plymouth.

Although she could do with a good helping of t.l.c., all the basics are already built in. I believe, an enthusiastic DIY individual could easily complete this project to provide a very comfortable home.

I believe the engine has relatively low hours and appears to be in good condition. I understand that the stern gland and rudder do require some attention though. It would be prudent to have the boat lifted out onto the neighbouring boatyard (literally just around the corner), to have the stern gear checked and serviced.

The photographs show the current open plan layout, but this could easily be changed into a separate sleeping cabin and lounge / diner. There is a well equipped built in kitchen with cooker, fridge, freezer and washing machine, a separate bathroom with shower, sink and toilet and an electric immersion heater is fitted to provide hot / cold water and central heating. A multi fuel stove is also included but could do with some maintenance and checking.

All and all, I think this is an excellent opportunity to purchase a live aboard, with great potential, at a very reasonable price.
