Broker's Comments
The popular bilge keel Mirage 28 makes an ideal family cruiser at a modest price. They are robust, well made and quite swift for a bilge-keeled boat of their era.
Their deep, long cockpits have plenty of room, their clear side decks and uncluttered foredeck make them easy to move around, and the running rigging leads aft to make short-handed sailing a breeze, along with the assistance of an auto-tiller.
The shallow draft makes them ideal for exploring local creeks, whilst down below, they offer comfortable and surprisingly spacious accommodation for their size, with a decent galley and saloon, a separate forward cabin, berths for 4 and good headroom throughout.
If you require a good cruising boat at a budget price, look no further.
